Meet Miranda, Lighting Associate at Pine Lighting.

Miranda has been with Pine Lighting for 10 years as our Lighting Associate at our Kelowna location. Beyond the showroom floor, you'll find her designing and drawing custom lighting layouts, building complete lighting packages, and corresponding with clients one-on-one to find the perfect pieces for their space.

What sets Miranda apart is her encyclopedic knowledge of past and current lighting catalogues combined with her intuition for how lighting feels in a room. She understands the difference between a space that's lit and a space that feels right—and she knows exactly how to execute the proper layout to achieve the feeling and look you want. She loves working with clients to get them excited about their projects—that moment when they see the potential is what drives her. When she's not working, you'll find her taking her dogs on adventures outside.

We asked Miranda what excites her about lighting design, and she's passionate about the increasing variety in fixture design—more textures, materials, and lighting styles emerging that let designers bring warmth and intentional layering into homes. We also asked about her biggest frustration, and she's honest: integrated LEDs can be limiting. Not all offer the color temperature or dimming flexibility clients need, and many aren't replaceable—which locks people into fixtures instead of giving them options.
